Nancy Lee is one of those books you may pick up because of the cover, or because the title stood out to you. I say that because she's not a known name, and as such may be picked out purely on aesthetic in library. Because that's how I found her, and I'm all the better for it. She's quietly poetic, a little morbid, intelligent and darkly comic. Simple moments are blown up, stories unwound before your eyes without so much as a few sentences.
This is a collection of short stories and I hope to see more by her.
