Product Description

Desmond King (Stephen Baldwin) suffers from insomnia and for the last ten months he has hardly slept a wink. He desperately needs his sleep and it is starting to show at work where, although he appears to be awake, his mind is fast asleep. During the night he has started to sleepwalk and, one night, when strolling the streets, he witnesses a murder - or at least he thinks he did; fast asleep and wandering, he can't really be sure that he wasn't just having a nightmare.

I bought this DVD after watching Stephen Baldwin's insane performance in The Usual Suspects. Admittedly, just by looking at the front cover and the storyline of the film I expected a ridiculously cheesy low-budget movie, but was pleasantly surprised upon watching it. Dead Awake is full of wonderfully weird characters, very strange camera shots, settings, etc. and has a fantastic storyline packed full of unexpected and absurd twists. I would recommend any fan of weird, abstract and complicated films to watch this. No, actually you should just buy it anyway. All the cast are great, and it's a lot of fun. Yeah, just get it.

This is not a good film. I'm a Michael Ironside fan and i would find it hard work to watch this rubbish again. AVOID!

I purchased the Hollywood DVD version of "Dead Awake" from zoverstocks.
There's some wear on the keep case, but the DVD is flawless, and plays perfectly. It's a bare-bones disc, no special features, no subtitles, no captioning but works without a problem.
zoverstocks offered an unbelievable price on the item and I'm very glad I took a chance on a "used" disc.
