Product Description

Product Description

The WR30 Waffle Maker from De'Longhi is part of the Argento range of kitchen products and makes a design statement in its own right. Its exclusive non-marking finish adds an extra bit of style to any kitchen and is ideal for making the perfect Belgian waffle.

The WR30 bakes a large, round Belgian waffle that separates into four triangular sections with deep pockets that can hold butter, syrup, ice cream and many other delicious toppings.

The De'Longhi WR30 Waffle Maker's die-cast aluminium plate with embedded heating element guarantees great cooking results thanks to its even and quick heat distribution. It also features an adjustable thermostat that allows you to choose how well you would like your waffles cooked, from soft to crispy, and a ready light to signal when the set temperature has been reached.

The cool-touch handle and the fact that the De'Longhi WR30 Waffle Maker takes up very little space and may be stored in a vertical position complete the package.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst waffle machine of all time? 25 Jan 2009
We got this based on the favourable reviews noted here, and in short we are very dissapointed.

The waffles only cook on one side and steam fills the wee window which looks poor. The whole unit is super wobbly and was exceptionally hard to clean.

The waffles as mentioned were fine on one side and like a flacid pancake on the other.

We will re-new our search for a decent machine forthwith.

4.0 out of 5 stars Faultless Waffles!! 19 April 2008
A great machine that only gets four stars for coming without the remotest hint of a recipe and it took forever to find a really good one - there are plenty of mushy waffle recipes out there, but finding a good crispy one took some time!! If you want to make really easy waffles - this is the one and they can be frozen once cold and toasted to revive them - a great instant snack/breakfast.

    4.0 out of 5 stars A more interesting breakfast! 31 Jan 2007
I have been searching for a waffle maker for a while now, but didn't really want to spend upwards of £50 on all the others I had seen.

I came across this waffle maker on another website, but costing £35 plus delivery, so when I saw the exact same model on Amazon for a lot less, I snapped it up.

Looks wise it is very contemporary, it wouldn't look out of place in even the most modern of kitchens. It is very simple to use, just plug it in, set your crispiness setting and add your mix.

The only downside is that there is no recipe advice/suggestions within the box, but I'm just using pancake mix and that produces a good enough waffle so far

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Waffles Every Time 6 July 2008
    By joe90
I always kept meaning to buy a waffle iron and I finally got around to it.
After looking at various models and comparing prices I opted for the DeLonghi WR30.

Upon first inspection this is a very stylish and slimline machine.
Having used many similar kinds of appliances before, I was able to use it without any bother, considering there was not an instruction booklet provided, which seems unhelpful for people when first using this product.
Armed with a good waffle recipe they turned out perfectly, nice and crisp, cooked in 4 1/2 minutes without any mess. The only advice I would give to new users is:

Do not over fill the waffle compartment; 1 tablespoon of Batter in each section of the waffle plate is ample.
Lightly oil top and bottom of plates before heating and after each waffle is cooked.
Cook 4 1/2 to 5 minutes for a nice crispy waffle. Works great with sweet and savoury kinds.
Have a good waffle recipe to start you off. The waffle and pancake book suggested when you buy this product is excellent.
Overall opinion is that this is an excellent machine that I would recommend without having to spend a hefty price and great waffles it makes too, yum yum!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great waffles 29 Jan 2009
    By R. Lowe
This is fantastic. Easy to use, makes perfect waffles in minutes and is easy to clean. As previously mentioned, there is no recipe book so we use a basic batter recipe for American pancakes (easily found online). A great addition for the kitchen...yummy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great waffles 28 Oct 2008
I have just bought this and am very pleased with it. The only criticism is that it does not have a recipe or instruction book with it. However, I got a recipe from the web and went ahead. On my first try I didn't oil the plates enough and put too much mixture in the machine, but after this I got it right and have enjoyed great fluffy waffles. Would recommend it.
