Product Description

Product Description

The innovative and exclusive design of the Vento VV550920 from De'Longhi gives high performance at exceptional value for money. It features the "Venturi Effect", in which an internal chimney-like structure increases convective air flow. The main body of the radiator is encased in a surrounding second outer shell, creating a chimney-like space inbetween the two. Air is drawn in at the bottom, heated by the main radiant heat of the radiator and then expelled at the top. This convective effect increases the speed at which the room is heated, in addition to the normal radiant heat produced.

With 2 kW of heat output, the Vento is perfect for smaller rooms or for boosting existing heat sources around the home. It has three variable heat settings and an adjustable room thermostat to set and maintain the desired temperature, as well as an anti-frost function and an overheat safety protection feature. The VV550920 comes with wide-span castors and an integrated carry handle for easy transport and a three-year guarantee.

An easy to move heater, that can be safely moved from room to room whenever the need arises.

We bought one of these for our office to keep the chill away, (would put it on for half an hour before going in there to work) and would be kept snug for quite a while.

The thing I like about this heater is that it does not make a noise, (some of the blowers or fan ones do and then you find it hard not only to concentrate but to hear anyone on the phone).

Wide wheels which make it easy to move when you need to, along with a nice handle to grab it with.

We have been so impressed with the one in the office that we have bought another for use in the bedroom. (We do have central heating, but have LPG which is so expensive, so rather than heating the whole house, we use one of these heaters in a couple of the rooms. In the past we have used calor gas heaters but this oil filled heater is the business as no naked flame, so a lot safer if you have children or pets. Plus it doesn't look ugly like the other ones do.

An ideal way for keeping your guestroom chill free over the cooler months.

No fear of it overheating as is has an auto shut off when it reaches a certain temperature, this model also comes with a three year guarantee. Plus the wire is quite too which is always helpful.

One word though if using it upstairs you will need a strong person to carry it up there as it is quite a heavy item and needs to be kept upright with it being oil filled.

This is a good heater with an Art Deco-ish look, easy to roll around on the flip down castors. The curved fins at the top make me think this will be a lot safer than our other heater, which has squared off fins - I know someone elderly who fell against the square-finned sort and hurt themselves quite badly. If I have a complaint it's the length of the electric cable: this may be short for safety reasons (longer flexes are more of a trip hazard) but I think it is safer to plug a fire directly into a socket (rather than use an extension lead) and having such a short cable means it has to be close to the socket, which in a house not blessed with dozens of sockets to choose from is a bit limiting in siting options.

    Seems ok 9 Nov 2011
Just got this today as our gas central heating is hopeless and the bedroom can be freezing cold in the evening. We have a Delonghi convector in the living room.

This heater doesn't make a large room "toasty" as they say but it takes the chill off all right.

Easy to move about. The short cable is a pest so it only gets three stars.
