The innovative and exclusive design of the Vento VV550715 from De'Longhi gives high performance at exceptional value for money. It features the "Venturi Effect", in which an internal chimney-like structure increases convective air flow. The main body of the radiator is encased in a surrounding second outer shell, creating a chimney-like space inbetween the two. Air is drawn in at the bottom, heated by the main radiant heat of the radiator and then expelled at the top. This convective effect increases the speed at which the room is heated, in addition to the normal radiant heat produced.
With 1.5 kW of heat output, the Vento is perfect for smaller rooms or for boosting existing heat sources around the home. It has three variable heat settings and an adjustable room thermostat to set and maintain the desired temperature, as well as an anti-frost function and an overheat safety protection feature. The VV550715 comes with wide-span castors and an integrated carry handle for easy transport and a three-year guarantee.

I got this heater for one of the bedrooms that is always very cold and can not be warmed by the central heating without cooking the whole house.
The unit feels very well constructed and the wheels and cable reel are very handy to have.
It will heat up a small to medium room up in no time at all and I am finding my self having to turn it down a notch as it warms the room very effectively and quickly, even on the lower power usage setting!
Although it doesn't say in the description there is a small neon indicator light that shows when the heater is on and heating, which is rather useful.
I only gave it 4 stars as the power cable is a little on the short side at just under 1.40m long, although I could probably fit a longer one if need be. The heater is only going to draw 7 amps max on the highest power setting (1500watt/230V=6.52amp) so as long as you use a thick cored wire rated at 13amps it should be fine.
Summery: A decent oil filled heater that is very fast and effective at heating small to medium rooms.
Update: During the freezing winter of 2010 my boiler broke down and this heater was able to heat my bedroom all night long.

Got it very quickly from supplier, heated up a living room 10x16 in about 20 minutes. its a cold room and it usually takes over an hour with the central heating. would recommend if your looking at this or anything similar

Hi all.
I was strugling with having a proper heater for some time.
This heater is not very expensive. Dispachet by the Amazon itself and is built in an inteligent way.
Simple. The heater takes the cold air from the bottom of the room and sends heated air to the room, since the heated air goes up and the cold air goes down.
So it does the job, no noise no big bills, keep the room sealed and you don't need another heater.
But its not really a very powerfull heater. So this one is more for a bedroom than a livingroom.
A good heater indeed.

Just as we expected. Did not buy for ourselves but for an elderly person. Would definitely recommend, save and compact.
