5.0 out of 5 stars Hot stuff 29 Nov 2007
This product does everything the label says. I have had a very similar model for the last two winters in a very cold room. It has been on most of the day and evening and it has made the room bearable at an average cost throughout the year of maybe about £30 a quarter.

Operating the radiator could not be more simple. The timer is easy to set and the thermostat is efficient.

A word of warning. Run it off the mains because, as I found out, it will burn out an extension lead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not cheap to run 30 Aug 2008
We have a lounge and dining room which the overall size of both is 27' x 13' and it is powerful enough to heat this area when on maximum! This heater saves turning the central heating on a lot, therefore saving on gas when we turn off central heating in th evening, expensive to run but still cheaper than having the gas c/heating on, the ten year guarantee gives plenty of peace of mind.

When we close the dining room doors the lounge is 17' x 13' this heater will bring room temp to 23 degrees whe outside temp is -4 using 1.5 KW (half power)

5.0 out of 5 stars A good heater for my nest. 7 Nov 2010
    By Hen
My central heating is expensive, - and broken at present, - so I bought this
DeLonghi Rapido instead. Well, it's excellent and warms my wee house just right.
It's a little heavy to move, - but I am old and feeble, a younger fitter person
    could easily move it.
It's best to set it on the highest setting at first, then it doesn't take very long to warm the room, then can be gradually turned down. The thermostat cuts in so then I can feel happily economic!
I have one of those little meter things that tells me how much I am spending per hour on electricity. My electric central heating (now broken) was costing me
£1.50 per hour! Now, with the DeLonghi, on the highest setting, is about 38 pence per hour... and much less on the lower settings. Of course, that does not
heat the whole house, but neverthess I am managing just fine.
I can recommend the DeLonghi Rapido.
    Hen.
