Product Description
The NF170 Air-to-Air Portable Air Conditioner from De'Longhi has a cooling capacity of 8000 Btu/h and is recommended for rooms of up to 80 square metres. It can remove up to 21 Litres per day of excess moisture from the air while conditioning and, when using only the dehumidification function, is able to remove up to 24 Litres per day. It has three fan speeds, a digital timer and thermostat and electronic controls with microprocessor.

The unit arrived very well packaged. It is quite heavy (it needs a strong person to carry/lift it for sure). However it has wheels so if you need to change its position it is very easy and hassle free. There is not assembly required apart from plugging the exhaust at the back which is done with one movement and is very simple.
The unit if very quiet, much more quiet than what I expected. I had a large standing tesco fan which was louder than the aircon if that helps you get an idea.
It is good enough to cool an average room but I wouldn't think it's powerful for more than that (unless you are patient - however more powerful units would be louder as well). I am very happy with it as my flat is 8C higher than the outside temperature!! You can programme it to start/stop at your convenience and it is extremely simple to use and looks fairly good in the room.
I would recommend it if you have a room you want to cool.
As always the exhaust is very short as with all the aircons (can't understand why), just 1.1metres, so you might have to buy an extension which is very pricey but there isn't much in the way of alternative.

What you see is what you get. One buys 8000 BTU and this is the output of the machine. A little bit fussy with the air output, one has to drill a hole in the wall or window but then it becomes permanent so why not buy a standard unit. If the hose had a long flat nozzle it would make things easier, instead is a round big nozzle. In a small room it seems noisy but you get used to it.
