De’Longhi Magnifica Pronto Cappuccino Bean to Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Machine

The design and patented innovation allows consumers to make restaurant and coffee-bar standard coffees in the comfort of their own homes. It grinds fresh beans internally and has an integrated carafe for frothing fresh milk, delivering all your favourite coffee drinks, espresso, lungo, latte, and cappuccino, at the touch of a button.

This machine offers all aspects of a typical 15-bar professional pump espresso machine such as grinders, filter holders, milk frother and tamping. De’Longhi has redesigned them, compacted them, and hidden them inside the machine. Instead of grappling with filter holders and fiddly traditional milk frothing wands, Magnifica Pronto Cappuccino expertly performs all of these functions for you.

Digital Display

The intuitive digital display tells the user exactly what is happening at all times. It will inform you; when the coffee grounds container needs emptying; the water tank needs filling; and will take you through all the steps of making your favourite coffee. It even tells you when it’s time to descale the machine.

Milk Carafe

The innovative patented milk carafe plugs straight into the machine and when you have selected the froth density to tailor your coffee, simply press the button on the control panel for latte and cappuccino and the machine does the rest for you.

The system has been designed to ensure the milk never goes inside the main body of the machine to ensure utmost hygiene at all times. The milk carafe has an auto-clean button, when pressed it cleans the pipes inside the milk carafe so that the carafe can then be unplugged and conveniently stored in the fridge. Until the next time you’d like a milky coffee. When it’s time to change the milk in the carafe, it can be dismantled and all parts can be conveniently popped in the dishwasher.

Integrated Burr Grinder

The integrated professional burr grinder has 7 adjustable coarseness settings. The taste and quality of your coffee depends heavily on how finely the beans have been ground. For a stronger taste, choose the finer setting and for a weaker tasting coffee, chose a more coarse setting. The coffee beans are freshly ground for each serving. The coffee strength is also fully programmable, so you can change the amount of coffee it grinds and dispenses from 7g to 11g.

Removable Brewing Unit

The brewing unit provides perfect heat distribution. It does all of the priming, pre-brewing, warming up, coffee dosing, coffee tamping, and extraction for you, so you don’t have to. The brewing unit is removable for easy cleaning, so that you can remove any old coffee granules should you not have used your machine for a few days.

Thermoblock

Thermoblock is an advanced type of boiler. De’Longhi coffee machines with the patented milk carafe are designed with two thermoblocks allowing the machine to heat the coffee and create steam (to froth the milk) at the same time, so you don’t have to wait around too long. It also only heats enough water for your coffee serving. Achieving a stable and accurately-controlled water temperature that is crucial for brewing the perfect coffee. This reduces warm-up time so that your coffee machine is ready for use in seconds and is also more energy efficient than traditional boilers. The Coffee temperature can be tailored further in the menu settings.

One or two cups

Select one or two cups of coffee at the same time just by pressing the relevant button. The number of coffees selected is indicated with a single or double cup on the front panel. This function is available for the black coffee options on the machine.

Memory Function

The machine can memorise your favourite coffee this can be actioned by programming the amount of milk, water and coffee you would like to be used and storing it in the memory. Simply select ‘My coffee’ on the rotary control to access this function.

Adjustable Coffee Dispenser

The coffee dispenser can be moved up or down to accommodate either full size latte glasses or espresso cups.

Ergonomic and Easy to Use

Both the water and coffee grounds containers are at the front of the machine so they are easily removed for cleaning. The water tank is easy to refill, simply take it to the tap and fill. It will hold up to 1.8 litres of water.

Automatic Shut Off

Magnifica Pronto Cappuccino will automatically switch itself off after a pre-set amount of time has elapsed.

The Bean-to-cup Journey

The function of a bean-to-cup machine is just as the name suggests: literally delivering coffee straight from freshly ground beans into your cup in seconds. After pressing one button to select ‘espresso’, the bean-to-cup journey starts at the integral coffee bean grinder. An adjustable, professional conical burr grinder will expertly grind the beans to your desired coarseness.

The ground coffee is then packed tightly by the internal brewing unit. Hot water is forced through the coffee up to a professional 15 bar pressure. The espresso is then delivered straight into the cup. The hallmark of a perfect espresso is recognised by the ‘crema’: a creamy, hazelnut-coloured layer that sits on top of the espresso to seal in the temperature and flavour. The thicker the crema, the better the espresso and the quality of the machine that produced it.

If you have run out of coffee beans or want/prefer to use pre-ground coffee instead (decaffeinated for example), using the control panel, just change the settings and put ground coffee in the ground coffee compartment.
