Product Description
The De'Longhi ICM30 Filter Coffee Machine has unique full frontal access, which enables you to load coffee and water into the front of the machine. It also features a removable carafe that can serve up to 12 cups of coffee at a time and a non drip device that enables you to remove the carafe at any time, including during the brewing process.
The ICM30 has an automatic shut-off feature for added safety, as well as non-slip feet and integrated cord storage. It includes a gold-tone permanent filter, water level display and a keep-warm plate to keep your coffee warm once it is made.

This wasn't the cheapest coffee maker, but was the most inexpensive, half decent looking machine available. It makes a good cup of coffee, and more importantly, after two machines that served up a lukewarm offering, the coffee from this machine is nice and hot. It has some really nice features, like a cup warming plate at the top, that you put your cups on and - yep - it warms them while brewing the coffee. The front loading feature is great as we have a unit over the top of the machine that makes top loading difficult.
The design quality is great, the size of the caraffe is pleasantly large, however ours came with a slightly dodgy switch that would not go on at first but after flicking it on and off again, it bedded in nicely - just a reflection of the build quality you are getting for the price. I would definitely buy one again, better than a morphy richards one we had before.

Had the same experrience as most, coffee all over the worksurface, always preferred mine in a cup (I'm a bit conventional like that) I've written to DeLonghi UK about this problem and referred them to these reviews. They aim to respond within two working days so I'll post it here when I get their reply. I suggest you look to another product for your coffee machine, this one clearly isn't up to it.

The problem stems from the non-drip valve. When the jug is in place, it lifts the filter with the coffee in. As a result the non-drip valve is not fully in place and the coffee runs down the side of it. THE SOLUTION - Wedge something between the coffee filter and the tray in which it sits (I use a stainless steel screw). If the coffee filter can't move, the non-drip valve is fully engaged and the machine works fine. Been using mine now since I discovered this without a single spill. I've told Delonghi about this but still not had the courtesy of a reply.

This item looks high quality and for a while, I liked having it in my kitchen. It seemed to be a bargain. Unfortunately, it started to leak within a fortnight. For once, I foolishly did not retain the original packaging and therefore couldn't return it for a refund.
I may have been unlucky, but my advice would be not to take the risk. Look elsewhere.

Simply perfect
Works simply, concept great as it fits under low kitchen cupboards with full front access. So far so good.
The pot also doesn't leak when you pour it which is a bonus.
