I am amazed, I've searched for years for a heater I can live with when programming. Infra-red are silent but glaring. Fan heaters drive me mad, but not this one. It has a large bladed fan rotating relatively slowly so it's no noisier than my hard drive.

Brilliant !

can't hear the fan
wonderfully quiet :)
and if you think it's not
try your old one next to it

we have tried several others on our camping trips
and this is one you can run and still hear the world outside

The 2 KW/h rating is too much for this small fan heater. It is small and effective but cannot be very regularly used as I did because I ended up getting a bill which I shouldn't have got :( Well... not a bad product at all.. Is not giving any problem even after 3-4 months of rigorous use. I will recommend it to someone who has a fixed meter or a all included rent :)..
