The HVF3553TB Upright Fan Heater from De'Longhi is a vertical fan heater with a rectangular design in white and grey. It offers a 3kW heat output,a choice of three heat settings and also has a 24 hour timer.
The adjustable thermostat automatically maintains the desired termperature, while an anti-frost function avoids the temperature falling below 5°C. There is also the option of cool air for summer ventilation.
The De'Longhi HVF3033MD has a built in silence system which reduces noise levels (38/43dB), making the appliance suitable for use in any situation. A foot switch on the base turns on or off the oscillating mode, ensuring the distribution of heat or ventilation is effortless. This appliance is also ideal for bathrooms use as it guarantees a high safety level with it's IP21 drip protection.
The fan heater is energy saving as it optimises energy consumption by allowing you to choose the most suitable heating setting for the desired amount of time, ensuring maximum comfort.

My bathroom is really cold first thing, before the central heating has really had a chance to warm the house up. I have Raynaud's disease (white finger) which is triggered as soon as I get out of bed into the cold air so I really needed a heater for the bathroom to keep me warm until I get dressed. I know portable electric heaters are not generally safe in bathrooms, but this one is advertised as OK for bathroom use. It has a drip guard, and my power point is outside the bathroom, so I thought it would be OK as long as I put it out of the way of any splashes. I was going to buy a cheap halogen heater but the reviews aren't very enthusiastic so I went for this fan heater, on the grounds that it was quiet and powerful and Delonghi is a reliable manufacturer. The heater arrived quickly and was smaller than I expected. It is reasonably attractive (for a heater!) and looks better than in the photo. It's almost silent on the low setting, and still quiet on the high setting even when it's oscillating. It warms up my very big bathroom (3m x 3m, open to the rafters with a skylight) in 5 minutes and my fingers don't go dead any more - quite important for when I'm trying to make breakfast without scalding myself. I'm very happy with its performance, and the fact that I don't have to run it for very long. I haven't used the timer yet but I've used similar timers before and can't envisage a problem. A remote control would have been brilliant, so I could have operated it from the bedroom, but that would have been the icing on the cake.

My bathroom and kitchen never really get warm with the central heating alone. I chose to go for this heater as I needed one that was small enough to store away but was also OK to use in a bathroom.
This heater is quite attractive for a heater, it's compacter than it seems, and the handle and cord storage made finding a spot in the cupboard to store it. It's quiet at all three settings and heats my kitchen very quickly in the morning. I did knock it over by accident one morning in the bathroom and can report that the safety feature worked perfectly: the heater switched itself off automatically.
I'll be interested to see how the heater affects my electricity bill. The oscillating fan means that rooms heat up evenly and I didn't have it on for very long in any room, so I am expecting not much of an increase in the bill. The heater has kept my feet warm on some very cold mornings and evenings, so a few extra pounds on the bill is a fair price to pay!

This compact standing fan heater is smaller than I expected but is ideal for a small/medium sized room for instant heat. Standing upright means the surface of hot air delivery is larger than smaller heaters and hence I found it heated my smallbedroom quite quickly.
The heater has 3 fan speeds and also a thermometer dial swithc to choose the level of heat you need. Once the heater is operating and is at the temperature you want, you can turn the thermostat down and it will come back on again when the temperature drops - handy. Some models come with a timer. This heater has a feature that it is silent than most other standard heaters, and it is certainly much quieter than others I have used, even on the 3rd fan setting, so it can be left on with minimal noise. This model has an oscillation feature operated by a simple footswitch so this is much easier to control compared to fiddly switches, just tap the base with your foot to start and stop it.
My only negative about this heater is that the heat was more "very warm" compared to "very hot", nevertheless it is efficient and does the job well, particularly for smaller/medium rooms.
