Being a typical gadget lover, I bought this De'Longhi fryer because of its Rotating basket. I used it mainly for french fries but also for other dishes. The fries came out perfectly well, as a matter of fact, better then ever before, while the amount of oil needed was probably 50-60% of the normal amount. while I was very pleased with this product for the first 2-3 months, I was disappointed to find out that the rubber hose built for emptying the oil for cleaning the fryer, was built poorly and got holes in it after only 2-3 months of non-extensive usage. To replace this hose you need to disintegrate the entire unit. I assume that the rubber hose is not geared to withstand the heat of the fryer. So now, after the first experience, the unit is kept unused on the uppermost shelve of our garage...
