De'Longhi got this one right. A lovely coffee machine that provides excellent coffee. If you compare it to a standard perculator, it may be slightly noisy, but it isn't a perculator and it does come with a compressor to give you that lovely cafe style coffee. I personally like the little whirring noise of the compressor. The steamer also works well and a coffee tamper is included on the side. Brilliant product and pretty too!
We looked around a lot for our first coffee machine and we really like the look of this machine. We have been really pleased with it so far, a bit of practice (and using a smaller jug) has us producing great steamed milk / froth and the coffee has been lovely.
The only problem is we're going through ground coffee at a rate of knots now! I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a decent entry-level coffee maker.

Disappointing design lets this attractively coloured number down. It is awkward to slot the coffee holder into its slot. The steam nozzle leaks, but not into the drip tray. The tamper spreads coffee just outside the drip tray... you get the idea. Could do better, but the coffee tastes great and it does look good!
