Product Description
The stylish De'Longhi TRD0615T Dragon 3 Oil Filled Radiator convects air through its unique "chimney", providing a fast flow of hot air that quickly warms the whole room. It also has a large surface area for high radiant heat output. Working in a similar way to De'Longhi's Vento range, but at a more advanced level, the convective chimneys of the Dragon 3 range provide a "Super Chimney Effect" with multiple narrow chimneys, which increases convective air flow in a superior way.
The Dragon 3 heats the air faster than any traditional oil-filled radiator and creates a comfortable mixture of radiant and convected heat, providing 1.5 kW of total heat output with switchable heat levels, a frost-guard setting and an overheat safety cut-out.
The Dragon TRD0615T has been designed to have a smooth and safe profile, with rounded edges and fitted castors, making it safe and easy to move around the home as necessary. This unit comes with a 10-year guarantee.

As a heater, I am fairly pleased with the performance. It heats up quickly and is effective at keeping a 12x12 foot room warm. It also looks reasonable, with the exception of the horizontal bars on the sides a few of which aren't quite straight on my model. I should also note that it's a light cream colour, not the slate grey colour the picture suggests.
My issue, as noted in the review of the slightly more powerful 2kW version (De'Longhi Dragon 3 TRD0820ER Oil Filled Radiator, 2kW), is that the unit is not silent. Yes, there are a couple of sounds from the unit heating up which I was fully expecting given its metal case, but there is a constant whirring sound emitted from the timer on the side. At first I thought it was raining outside until I looked closer. It's also not possible to switch this off if you're not using it in timer mode, as the timer keeps turning to keep the correct time.
It would certainly annoy me in a bedroom and is sufficiently loud in the office where I use it for me to keep the radio on when it is turned on.
In short, it's fine for its heating abilities, but not if it needs to live in a quiet room.

Had this model for a week now and very satisfied with it. I have a studio flat with no double glazing and it easliy keeps the main room warmth. I just leave it on full when the timer switches it on in the morning and then turn it down when I get up and it keeps the room nice and warm. The room is about 18' by 12'.

Easy to use, reliable and very good value for money.
The Dragon 3 is slightly more powerful than I needed, but with the little wheels, is easy to move from room to room.
The heater can be used in timer mode and has a simple sliding thermostat that works well, despite not having a temperature scale.

An excellent purchase, it has been invaluable in this chilly recent weather. The radiator is sturdy but easily moved on its castor wheels, quickly heats up in about 10 mins.
