It works perfectly as a 1-2 portion fryer but if you try for any more the result is one giant chip! It seems to heat up very quickly and the walls also stay cool so it is easy to move after use. It is also very handy that the lid is dishwasher safe as it keeps the oil smell away when its not in use better than others I have tried. As a budget deep fat fryer goes you can't really beat it for the money. Definately more suited to the lonesome fryer though.

Item not too bulky. Just what I wanted for frying chips and they came out really well. You get 2 small portions or 1 large portion of chips and both portions cook very quickly. Good to have a temperature control. Cleaning is made easier as the lid comes off.

open the lid when cooking then take care hot steam came out
I found when it is cooking, if you open the lid, you need to wear oven gloves to protect hands from hot steam. Read more
