Inspired by the glamour of 1950s Italy, the Icona range from De'Longhi brings style to any kitchen. Featuring a unique three-layer high-gloss paint finish, chrome detailing and a solid, quality build, the Icona will become an icon within your home. Matching Icona coffee makers and kettles are also available.
The retro-styled Icona CTO4003.R is a four-slice toaster with 1.8 kW of power for rapid toasting. Designed to toast four slices, this toaster can also operate two slots independently, allowing you to make two slices of toast without wasting energy. It has a stylish Scarlet Red finish that has been designed not to show fingerprints, as well as neon indicator function lights and electronic controls for its reheat, defrost, bagel and cancel functions.
The variable browning control features six levels of browning to help you achieve your perfect toast colour, while the variable width slots increase your choice of bread shapes and sizes and the extra-lift facility makes it easy to remove even the smallest items and slices. The De'Longhi Icona has an extra-deep crumb tray to keep your workspace tidy and non-slip feet for safety, all of which means your toaster will be as easy to use as it is attractive in your kitchen.

Bought this toaster & the matching icona kettle in red. Noticed by all who enter our kitchen & tried by all,well at least the kettle. It has several settings (frozen, reheat, bagle, this toasts one side & warms the other & cancel)it takes 4 slices, we have warbertons bread which is quite large & it fit's in & toasts ferfectly. There are individual toast colour settings for each side of the toaster,this has saved some bread & arguments as daughter likes it barely done & husband turns dial when daughter not looking to darkest brown (on previous toaster). At the rear there are 2 crumb trays, they seem ok to get out perhaps a bit fiddly to get back in but ok. The toaster seems quite quick but then it depends on how dark you have it & it is very evenly toasted. The paint quality is good & doesn't show finger marks.There is a recessed area around the top in stainless which does show a few marks but then I suppose it is more durable for constant wiping than a painted surface, crumbs do collect between the two. All in all worth the money & i think the best toaster we have ever had. Happy Toasting!

We had an old toaster which had seen better days and saw this one for sale - we needed a four slot toaster - this one looked fab as was almost two two slice toasters in one machine - each two slot portion operates independently of the other.
It looks really good on our worksurface - certainly adds to kitchen, however, the left hand side toasts unevenly. The top of the bread is almost uncooked and the base is really toasty. There are individual 'colour of toast' knobs each side, in order to get the top of the toast the correct colour, the bottom of the toast burns.
We will get used to this, however, if anyone else comes across this toaster, be aware that it may not toast evenly on both sides.
It does look good and is much cheaper than Dualitt (I could not justify spending that amount of money!) However, I wish I had.... our old Morphy Richards was a bit of an eyesore but made much better toast. RIP.

Our toaster stopped working which was a relief because it didn't toast evenly anyway and we de had it for years.My wife liked the look of this one(not perfect criteria for choosing a toaster),but it claimed to do all we required,so we bought it.Each side has a rotary setting knob graded from one to six.When set on three it toasts evenly all over.It has a stting for bagels(hot cross buns ,teacakes etc)which will heat one side and toast the other.Usefull,but it is difficult to extract small items from the slots.You have to switch it off at the socket and spear them with a fork.You can alternatively push down the lever and let go of it,catapulting the items into the air ,whereby you can deftly catch them before they land.this requires practice.The toaster also has a reheat setting so you can make your toast hot again without detrimentaly altering the quality.All in all we like the toaster and would buy another one in years to come.

Yes It Looks Good.....But!!!!!
Our scarlet red De'Longhi 4 slice toaster is now 13 months old. It really does look good in our kitchen with the matching kettle. But looking good is pointless if it doesn't work. Read more
