AWESOME! This cd is simply the best album/s Chumbawamba ever made. The first 2 vinyl records ('pictures of starving children sell records' & 'never mind the ballots') on one cd - BARGAIN!

A great cd to play LOUD when the world of politics, consumerism, materialism, capitalism, ecological suicide, TV and media are all getting you down!

This album kicks all that stuff into touch and fills you with the energy needed to carry on the fight against the greedheads!

Amazing tight musicianship and simply the best lyrics on any album ever!

'BUY IT' (Oh the Irony of it all!)

After the small success of Chumbawamba's 1994 album 'Anarchy', their then record label 'One Little Indian' took it upon themselves to re-release ALL 5 previous Chumba albums. This Cd is the first two albums put together and catchingly titled 'First 2'. 'Pictures Of Starving Children' was originaly released in 85 and was a responce to the Live Aid concert which had taken place that summer. Its now a classic Chumbawamba album, punky yet melodic and maybe one of the most politically inncorect record they've produced. 'Never Mind The Ballots' was a rather hurried album to coencide with the elections of 86. Its not as strong an album as 'Pictures . .' but the two albums together make a great package!!
