The much awaited and anticipated trance album of the year has finally hit my CD tray and not before time. Having been dreaming of the glory days of abductions, light beams and alien confrontation for a long time, Eat Static have delivered the goods at last. The album flows throughout with tracks linking together, separated by clever ambient layers intertwined with the classic 'Static' style B movie samples stating the 'UFO's are landing' and 'Our planet is being invaded by an unknown force'. Superb!
If you are looking for plenty of BPM's, wierd rhythms, strange alien communication, clicks and trancy twists and turns from the Somerset based masters of UFO trance then this is the album for you.
It will take you cleverly back in time to the Monkey Man / Mother Planet days, yet is up to date to perfection. No track is head and shoulders above the rest, they are all 10/10 - but if I had to pick a favourite Sucker Unit hits the spot. Listen out for the very clever and interesting track Pachama.
If you love Eat Static - but it!
If you like Eat Static - buy it!
If you have never heard of Eat Static but have £7.99 burning a hole in your pocket - buy it!

This album was just what the doctor ordered. Eat Static's last studio album was back in 2001. In the Nude and its predecessor Crash and Burn, were a bit of disappointment after their earlier "Alien" stuff. Now, Eat Static are back to doing what they do best - Alien Trance. There is no other band like them!

I looked at the cover and knew it was going to be great - I wasn't disappointed. The album is liberally sprinkled alien related samples from old films and it all fits together really well. This album is bang up to date.

Tracks 1 and 6 are the best. Track 1 kicks things off to a great start, with loads of samples and a killer beat. Track 6 is a Drum & Bass classic to match the brilliance of Interceptor (Eat Static Remix).

You MUST buy it!

Brilliant stuff: 50s SF movie samples, vocoders, pounding electronica - It's like they've translated the inside of my head into music! One of those very rare occasions when the cover artwork is a match-perfect reflection of the music inside. So many bands (rubbish metal/rock groups usually) use the alien/saucer iconography as cover eye-candy and stiff the gullible purchaser on the music contained within. Notso here - The Eat Static boys deliver in spades. You NEED this CD.
