Most self-help books offer advice that you instantly forget as soon as you've finished them. I bought this book 10 years ago and even though I only occasionally re-read it, the lessons it taught still inspire me.
The book is divided into 30 chapters - some only a page or 2 each - and the idea is to read one chapter a day.
When I first bought the book I couldn't wait, and read it all in a sitting and then wondered why my Perfect Mate didn't suddenly pop up! I had taken on board all it said and done the exercises, but...
I'd had the book a few years before I followed it properly: one chapter a day really does make a big difference. You have time to absorb each lesson and yes, I did meet my perfect mate about 6 months later. 7 years on we're still blissfully happy.
The lessons are not simply about FINDING a perfect mate, but about moving towards BEING a more perfect mate. I think this book has helped me to be a better person, with greater understanding of other people.
The nice thing about this book is that if having found your Perfect Mate things start to go wrong, re-reading the book and re-applying the lessons can put you both back on track.
I wholly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for that 'special someone', whether single or in a relationship that isn't working. In fact, I'd wholly recommend it anyone fullstop!
