Product Description

Synopsis

The near-future. Ireland is a world stage, hosting a prestigious Muslim Leaders' Conference. The delegates are hand-picked - but they are not to know that. Security is tight - but alas, not tight enough.

From the Back Cover

On a desolate island off the west coast of Ireland, a man of god resides over his unwilling flock. His holy mission is to fulfill the Scriptures. He is armed with enough technical weaponry to blast himself and his congregation to Heaven and beyond.

DAY OF WRATH

Set in a country steeped in its own brutal conflict, this gripping thriller of apocalyptic madness possesses both hindsight and foresight, and astonishes with its depth and vision.

“A blood-soaked saga of human frailty, duplicity and insanity. Guaranteed to keep you awake at night, even after you have finished it”
THE TIMES

“Easterman weave a story which manages to bring in the IRA, British intelligence, religious fundamentalism and a coup d'etat while sustaining the pace , the credibility and a stupendous body count.”

This is a great read from an author I'd never heard of before. I got this in a bargain section in a bookshop and was VERY pleasantly surprised.

I generally like books about Ireland, the history, & fiction about the political sutiation there, but this was WAY out of the ordinary. It's a VERY good read, a political thriller with some VERY strange things in it.

As I said, it's a VERY good read if you like thrillers that are a bit out of the ordinary, but still within the realms of possibility.

a fantastic novel which brings the reader through a series of emotions and highlights the uneasy coexistence of religion and modern day politics.
