Okay, so no game again today -- and the audacity of people who didn't have this problem to tell us to be patient and stop moaning when we were guaranteed delivery for Tuesday is beyond me.
Anyway, after my workout the postman delivered no game when I got back and I contacted Amazon. I have demanded a tracked delivery which was set with no problem at all - probably because I wasn't going to listen to "I understand... please wait a few more days". Sometimes you have to be more aggressive for someone to get the message and your frustration -- try it sometime. Ha.
Anyway, I strongly advice anyone who has not received the game to DEMAND a tracked delivery or a full refund. If you hear "I understand... unfortunately wait for another few more days" then I would ask the customer service team to direct you to the manager. They'll be shaking in their boots. And if they tell you "no" then keep their name, call Amazon and ask to speak to the manager and mention to him that the customer service person wouldn't co-operate.
I'm sorry if this is harsh but I'm frustrated as now, I have to wait til Monday to get the game... Ugh. Missing out on double xp. Aaaaargh!

I dont know if it matters but every year around this time several of my DVD shaped items go awol. If I were cynical I would say its because in some sorting offices there are a bunch of thieving g!ts who know when COD, FIFA and HALO are due to go inthe post. As it is, when Halo reach came out, one of the two I ordered went missing and the same week Black Ops 2 was out I had a blu ray on order. The package turned up, torn open as if in a hurry by a finger. On noticing that it was not Black Ops and therefore not worth stuffing down his or her trousers I expect they thought to return it to the sorting line.
@Rimmer 72. I don't think you are being cynical at all about the probable REAL reason these items go missing! I have said exactly the same to Amazon, over this last 2 weeks when suddenly i have had no end of problems. I ordered Black Ops 2 in May 2012. I subscribe to Amazon prime and fully expected it would be here on release date. I had the email saying it had been dispatched via Royal mail on the 12th Nov...and yes you have guessed it. It didn't come and still hasn't 2/52 later!! I kicked up a real fuss with Amazon and how stupid were they that they issued a £40 game which had no end of publicity on TV etc and sent it WITH NO TRACKING?? I made such a damn nuisance of myself that they 'gave in' and sent another copy on the 14th via City Sprint with tracking and it arrived the next day. One of the forums on here has over 600 posts from people who were disappointed as they never got their copy on the release date (and missed out on the double XP weekend etc etc). Amazon initially sent every copy of this game out via Royal Mail with no tracking and apparently 1000's went missing. I don't think you need to be Einstein to put two and two together regarding the reasons for that Amazon!! It must cost them millions every year to replace these. On a separate issue, HDNL who also deliver supposed TRACKED goods from Amazon, are a joke this year. Since the Black Ops fiasco 2 more things I ordered were sent via HDN and neither arrived the next day as promised. A lesson for Amazon I think...coming up to Xmas they really need to look at their carriers!
Agree, God help me ive even considered buying from Game in town! But i would probably get mugged twice if I bought at midnight - once at the tills and once on the way to the car! Best idea is to get it at the supermarket as they sadly seem to have more buying power than any local shops now!
Irony is that I ended up in a brief fight in Tesco for Black Ops a couple of years ago when some chavvy girl attacked me after I had paid for it saying she needed it for her boyfriend. That was a memorable launch with me explaining to security why I was holding her in a wrist lock at the tills! Anyway i digress......
The stores need to stop penny pinching and it wouldnt cost much to send out big releases by second class recorded for the standard couriers or first class for those who paid for it.
@Rimmer72. Loved the thought of you in a punch up at the tills, wrist locking a chav. Ha ha ha. Seriously though, for some of us, getting out to the shops isn't really an option, which is why I rely so heavily on online goods with reputable carriers. In fairness to Amazon this is the first time they have let me down. I had no problem with the first Black Ops, other Xbox games..or anything else... up till now. I am seriously worried now though and pretty much hold my breath till goods I order arrive!! Back to Black Ops 2. With hindsight I wish I had asked my son to pop into the local Asda at 12mn on the release date. he told me that folk were queuing round the block at Game, but Asda (10 minutes away) had 100's of copies and the store was empty!!
