Despite the nice colour picture of the Western on the front cover, all the pictures are in black and white, most of them are also of DMU's, the text is rambling and describes someones nice trips out rather than the loco's themselves.
The cover picture and the title of this book implied to me that it would be full of more nice colour pictures and maybe some technical information of early diesel locomotives, which is what I was looking for and it is definately not!
If I had picked this book up in a shop and flicked through it I would not have bought it.
To be fair to the author, maybe if he had chosen a different title and cover picture to show the book for what it really is then I am sure he would have found some interested readers, but it is not quite as its present cover implies!
