Synopsis

Susan Sterling wanted nothing more than to escape her life ...and her marriage. The family's secluded cabin in Kings Canyon National Park seemed the only place for her to find peace. But it took Shawn Weber coming into her life for her to find the courage to make changes. The budding friendship between the two women strengthens into an intense emotional bond, a bond that soon eclipses friendship.

5.0 out of 5 stars eye opening and touching.... 27 Dec 2005
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I must begin by admitting that I've always wondered how a woman could wake up one morning and decide she was a lesbian (especially after years of marraige), mostly because of stories friends have shared and things in the paper. Well, this book is amazing in portraying the story of such a lady.
Susan has just found out her husband is cheating on her and moves out to their cabin to sort emotions and thoughts out. There she meets Shawn who is an already out lesbian and slowly but surely they begin to fall for each other. Susan's already complicated situation becomes even more so while Shawn is weary of the 'married, straight woman who's gonna leave her at some point'.

It's sounds so 'done before' but the book is beautifully written and will appeal to any romantic. As for any person looking to learn more about being lesbian the description of the characters thoughts and feelings will make you question your own views and attitude...not many books in any genre can do this....a must read book!!
Buy and enjoy....i have....several times over...:)

5.0 out of 5 stars Gerri Hill is excellent. 25 Aug 2006
Format:Paperback
This is the first book that I have ever read written by this particular author and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it and shall definately be purchasing another. Whether you are a lesbian or in fact extremely curious like myself, I think that most will find it entertaining. It is neither seedy or tacky, it portrays a very believable relationship that builds between two women and the trials and tribulations that they both face coming to terms with feelings and repercussions. Excellent easy reading and best of all totally believable. I'm almost envious.

it's ok if you like lesbian trash. Lost count of how often "their eyes locked". Appalling dialogue and writing style, predictable storyline. Read more
