A short descriptive look at the life of David Livingstone. Easy to read, sufficiently factual for an introductory text and well written. Enjoyable

This is an excellent biography of David Livingstone. Beautifully written, an engaging and dramatic story. And it is all condensed into about 100 pages. I had this book with me while traveling to Ujiji, where Stanley found Livingstone, and it was the perfect companion, read by the other two I was traveling with and recommended to all we met. My vision of Livingstone was rather Sunday School - an earnest missionary - but this book presents a much more human, driven figure. I now want to know more about other books by Amanda Mitchison.Thank you.
