Author Needs an Editor 25 Jun. 2014
By Steven Graybill - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I am only a bit more than a third of the way through this book. The author did a good amount of research and the biography of David Livingstone makes for a great story. However, the author lacks character development and story telling technique--one of the reasons I would never attempt to write a biography myself. Also, there are typos and poor grammar everywhere in this book. This book would make a really good rough draft to be put into the hands of a good editor. The writings on David Livingstone are quite prolific and because of that I would suggest finding something else to read if you are interested in his life.

A second edition, if one is ever done, might be worth reading, but this book is frustrating to read.

This book took a while to read through . It would have been helpful to have had a map so that I could have located the places he travelled to. His life, determination, faith and zeal were truely amazing I now have a greater appreciation of this godly explorer. The book revealed a courageous and determined man
