About the Author

Richard Torné is a journalist and the editor of the English language Costa Almería News newspaper in Spain. He has written extensively on film making in Almería, as well as the illegal property crisis in the region and the Palomares nuclear incident of 1966. He has also been a feature writer and columnist for the UK-based monthly magazine Everything Spain in addition to writing political articles for Open Democracy. He is currently working on a novel about expats in Spain.
