Two stars for "From Beginner to Winner". Oh my. The DVD is an ideal support for the BEGINNER. Golf lessons from a club pro are certainly useful but the time passes quickly, the lesson is over, and that's it until the next lesson. This DVD is strong because it is not spending excessive time on any particular element of the learning process. Its strength is in its very effective presentation. Each segment is clearly set out, nothing is so involved that one fogs over.
This DVD helped me to clean up my swing (still not perfect and never will be) and become more natural...less concentration and tigntening of muscles. I especially liked the training tips given to work on inside one's own home to improve mind-body control (without breaking furniture).
I could continue in this vein, but will stop by saying that this is an ideal beginners aid to be used alongside lessons at the local gold club.
There are easy to understand tips for everyone and I can promise any starting golfer that the DVD is totally up to date in confronting the basics. Once you have got a grip of the basics, you will no longer be a beginner and can move on to more complex training DVDs...including ones produced by Leadbetter.
I think the previous reviewer failed to understand who was being targetted for this DVD.

Leadbetter obviously has the credentials but this DVD is really not worth the money. There are sections on the swing, the long and short game, putting etc but there is no real depth and each section lasts about 10 minutes. There some OK tips but nothing you won't have heard before. There are also sections for ladies, seniors, and juniors so if you are none of these then a large part of the DVD is useless. Even if you are, these lessons are 10 minutes each so not really very comprehensive. You would be better off buying a dedicated DVD lesson.
Overall it was disappointing and I know that I won't be watching it twice ! My advice is to buy something else but if you must have it you can have mine - mint condition, hardly used.
