Product Description
The late David Hicks was one of the great designers of the 20th century. He is primarily known for his interior design, but he was also involved with carpets, jewellery, fabrics, furniture, wallpaper, sheets and gardens. His approach was dictatorial and uncompromising and he did not mince his words. What he seeks to impart in this book is "style" and it is very much a style of his own. "My Kind of Garden" is illustrated with photographs by Dana Hyde of gardens designed by David Hicks.

Finally, a really fantastic survey of many of the world's great gardens together with little-known gems in surprising places from Hong Kong to Buckingham Palace, and of course David Hicks's own immaculate designs. Beautiful.

Five stars - and only because you can't give a product "six". This is simply an amazing resource. Mr. Hicks'garden insights are priceless and his perspective on gardens singluar in merit. One of my all time favorite gardening books - beautiful on your coffee table AND a great read. His last book - and what a shame!
