I bought this book based on the 5 star ratings it got. What were these people thinking? It's a very negative book. Each page shows the kid doing something else wrong. Finally he gets a star after staying after school. This is not what I want to teach my son about what kindergarten is like! My first amazon return.

I am a trainee primary school teacher. I love the 'No, David!' books, they are great for getting the children interested in the content of the book and engaged in discussion. I find it useful to get the children to discuss what David should be doing, or how he should be behaving. It's good to get the children to recognise certain behaviours are not accepted in the classroom

My 5 year old son and I adore reading stories about David together. The illustrations, along with the simple text make us laugh so much. Not only can my son read this book alone, but he can relate to David too! We have discussed what David is doing and why his Mum is making the particular comment. Fabulous!
