Format: Paperback
I recently bought this Guide and I love it! Gave me great insight about my recently bought Canon 60D. It's easy, illustrated with simple , direct photos. The text ist's also easy, for everyone to understant it , without the «pro» talk that you can find in many mauals and guides like this one. Remind that this is not a guide of «How to take great pics»-There are other books for that! It's a guide about the camera only and it's possibilities and , how to relate to your camera. If you want to understand your camera, this it , you can't fail.

This book promised to fill in why you use particular settings to extend the information in the EOS60D manual. It achieves this and more in a straightforward way and is a very good read at the same time. I have no hesitation in rating it all five stars.

I was taken aback when this book arrived by the sheer size of the volume. 460 pages on good quality paper makes for a large paperback and my first thought was 'will the book fall apart after opening a few times'. So far, so good, it is quite sturdily bound and has stood up well to a lot of use. It is a comprehensive manual covering every aspect of the 60D in a language that everyone should be able to understand. All references to the menus are supported by large illustrations showing the aspect of the menu being referred to. Being an American publication there are some references to U.S suppliers of accessories but all in all I have found this a very helpful book with many chapters I have yet to explore. Anyone new to DSLRS or unused to using the manual controls of the camera will find the book a great help.

I have read numerous books about camera equipment I have purchased in the past, and this one is probably the best one I have come across. I actually bought this book because I had just acquired a copy of the book about the Canon Powershot G1X from the same author and that is also an excellent read.

David`s book,Canon Eos 60D,is a must for all 60 D owners, its packed with information for the novice and the more expert photographer.
The manual that comes with Canon cameras is OK but small and difficult to read.
David`s book is large and well bound,so it will not fall apart after a couple of days.
The information, tips and help go much farther than the manual.
Every action of the camera, and photography in general,is explained in easy to follow detail.
I would recommend this book to anybody with a Eos 60D.

wow what a big book !! so far is ok well written, and as has been mentioned before the references to american products are the only downside one can nitpick from this book, otherwise it would come in handy if you were attacked as a defensive weapon, not one to carry in the field but on the whole a quality product.

Very useful with loads of tips. Set out in a logical order for easy reading and reference when needed. Only downside is it is not exactly pocket sized but that is the price you pay for all the info packed in. I'd recommend this book if you're new to the EOS60D.

David Busch writes a lot of camera books. Because of this, you have to realise that he can't realistically write every single book from scratch and it definitely shows in the editing of this book. I purchased my 60D a few months after it was released and after a lot of research, so I know what changes Canon had made between this and the previous 50D. It appears that the author/editors have taken the 50D book as a template and just edited it for the new camera's features. This is apparent as occasional references to 'the joystick' or 'the lock switch' (these were updated to be an 8 way selection pad and integral OK button, and a lock button not switch on the 60D.) Be careful, some of these erroneous edits may trip you up. As others have said, it's a very American centric book and doesn't exactly travel well. Yes, it will give you some knowledge, but there are other, I feel better, camera book ranges out there. I bought this partially because of it's size at 460 pages I thought that there'd be more information and it would go more in depth. Some of the writing goes off on major tangents in order to appear 'more human' to the audience - I found that irritating.
