I've been a Bowie fan since 1972 and this book is a delight.
Many of the photos i hadn't seen before. Some fantastic shots of the great man live in concert.
The book is split into five sections- The Rise and Fall of David Jones,Golden Years,He Was A Young American,The Serious Moonlight and Modern Life.

All areas of his career are covered and given equal coverage. Half the photos are black & white and half in colour.
A perfect coffee table book present for any Bowie fan.

Great edition. One of the best of all the Bowie books, especially when it comes to pictures. Amazing photographs, most of them I've never seen before, and I'm a fan for almost 40 years!!!!

A Greatest Hit 7 Dec 2010
Format:Hardcover
I've just purchased this book - admittedly for the same price in Waterstones. I've been looking for some type of biographical resource with rare good quality photographs and pictures, Bowie being my favourite artist (I'm 19 by the way), and I have finally found it. Forget the rest of the biographies on Bowie, this great picture-book tells his story better than anything. Definitely a must for an avid fan or someone just getting started.
