1.0 out of 5 stars The cash cow rolls again 11 April 2008
Format:Audio CD
When this kind of music was popular about 5-6 years ago, compilations like this were amazing (and rare) - but 6 years on we have had practically 30 or more albums in a similar vein, Gatecrasher Classics, Godskitchen
Classics, Classic Euphoria etc etc and all of those above albums are far superior to this.

Take note MOS stop trying to flog stuff we already own. We are not stupid.

1.0 out of 5 stars REHASH REHASH REHASH 11 April 2008
Format:Audio CD
this is such BLATANT commercialism by MOS and 'DAVE' AGAIN...im sure thers is a gatecrasher calssics trance which is virtually the same...its the sort of cd you download into your library and then you see twenty titles of each song but all on different complations!!!, ie if you seriosuly love your old classics you will already have them without having to buy this one...

4.0 out of 5 stars Buy it! 19 May 2008
By Rachy
Format:Audio CD
Although I agree with a lot of the reviews here, it has to be said, all 3 CDs have some classic songs on that I grew up with - which aren't ever going to be boring or overplayed to me. I looked at the track listing before buying - something it looks like a lot of people didn't do.. I can easily listen to each track on each of the CDs without thinking why the hell is this on here, like a lot of the other dance/trance albums I own. I would recommend this one. I love it.

To put it simply, I was listening to some of these tunes on each CD over 10 years ago.

Very disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars More cash for fat Dave to buy baseball caps 24 April 2008
Format:Audio CD
We all know the score by now... I don't even know why I'm reviewing this. I guess I just feel like insulting Dave Pearce as much as possible! How many more of these pathetic albums can he release? The fact that it is labelled '2008' is a complete insult - the bulk of this album stems from 90's euro-house/trance that even back in the day was popular only for a short while, if at all! And considering their have been, most likely, over 50 of these classics albums released over the past few years, is their anything more to try and dust off?

Note to Ministry - Just give up!! Don't you get enough money from the cocktails at the your in Elephant Street??...

1.0 out of 5 stars Yawn! 9 April 2008
Format:Audio CD
Here we go again.

Same old songs, just change the cover and the title .. hey presto! How many times do we get the same old anthems rehashed? Leave it to MoS and we will have this again in a few months, and then a few months after that .. and then .... etc etc

1.0 out of 5 stars ...wow, this is... hilarious. 7 April 2008
Format:Audio CD
Ministry of Sound are at it again!?... how many compilations of overplayed old music will they release? They just don't stop... most of them seem to have similar track listings anyway, so if you have one, you have them all...

I think that just about sums up what I think.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lazy money spinner 13 April 2008
By R. Mullaney VINE VOICE
Format:Audio CD
Oh dear. Ministry of Sound used to be a heavyweight brand in dance music but they continue to sully their reputation with this unimaginative compilation. How many times does Dave Pearce think he can flog these tired old tracks to us?

Don't be fooled by the 2008 on the cover. Most of these tracks are almost a decade old and most of them were rubbish the first time around. Sash! 'Encore Une Fois?', Alice Deejay 'Better off Alone?' Ian Van Dahl??? What is Dave thinking? Probably how to spend the money (on baseball caps no doubt). It's a mystery to me how he still has his own show on international radio when he obviously owns less than 100 records which he seems to think it's ok to force on us again just as long as his studio engineer has mixed them in a different order. Most trance fans will have the tracks worth having anyway and I really can't imagine why anyone would want to buy this.

Like this? Try: Watching paint dry.
