Whew! Talk about action! Lauren works for the government, but suddenly finds herself swept off her feet by her new boyfriend, married, and a whole new life is hers. It's filled with spies, murderers, surprises and danger. It's all done with humor. If you like action, romance, and humor, this is the one. Markee Anderson does a great job on this one.

Everyone wants Lauren! The Russians, governmental secret agents, her ex, and especially her boyfriend! When Lauren marries, she discovers a side of herself she didn't quite know existed, or did it? Can her new husband protect her and keep her safe, or will she fall into the wrong hands....
A great read with lots of twists and turns that will have you wondering from page to page what will happen next. In this romantic mystery people lead double lives and are not always what they seem to be!

This review is from: Dating A Spy Isn't All Fun And Games (Kindle Edition)

That is wonderful house of mirrors which I am not going to try to capsulize, for it would leave out so many splendid ideas and quick turns and just when you think you have one person figured out, there he goes off the cliff of unsureness again. It is a party of a novel. The dialogue is so sparkling. the action so very hairpin curve, and it is essential to note every part of it is Ms. Anderson's attention to and unrelenting quest to make a complex statement. I feel, that as everyone, from the President on down, really enjoys this and perhaps who is on the run from someone else on the run, maybe or not, could easily run in the other direction at a moment's notice.

Among the total lol knowingness of her writing, the absolutely brilliance of a deserving writer to keep her layers straight while we watch a tightly constructed novel that dares laugh at a spy vs.spy via THE MAN WHO WAS THURSDAY with the colorful make of everyone, there is underneath that disturbing globule they do expect to win the world.

And how foolish we can be when we think otherwise. It is saucy and sexy and romantic and knocks down the stupid notion that women are meant to be the scenic backdrop of spy novels. Happily this is not the case here. The men can play. But always under tutelage of a wise, keenly observant writer. We return to capers that are a refreshing cocktail. The bubbles tickle and the color is pink; the high society clothes conceal a gun most often.

Ms. Anderson seems to say isn't it time to lighten up and does so with a plot that is Russian novel complex and always for a purpose, always fair to the reader lets have a knockabout fun always steered steady course round the reality we must live with. In other words, brain happily reeling, score one for a fun fantasy "guns and bombs" parody by a writer who has an extraordinary ear for dialogue as well.
