I love these Kelly Ann books! They're my favourite series. They're totally underrated in my opinion. They are funny and believable, unlike some books which seem too unrealistic or over the top..
Anyway, this book comes before the other two books (My Desperate Love Diary and My Now or Never Diary), so it introduces 14-year-old Kelly Ann and Liz, and shows them meeting Stephanie.
The funniest bit in my opinion is the Prince Charles bit, hehe ;)
And the bit in the Catholic school! And the bit where she faints! And the bit......
I loved reading the book knowing what happens next in the next two books. Yet this book would also be great if you've not read the previous two as you'll probably be very suprised by what happens.
That's all I can think to say... :)

This book made me laugh out loud on so many occasions! Kelly Ann is a natural tomboy who records her many truly funny tangles and misunderstandings in her diary as she ventures into the world of dating and boys. Teenagers will readily identify with Kelly Ann, and older readers will have great fun reading through and saying `Ah, I remember doing that!' at many points. I highly recommend all the books in this series, and would advise anyone who enjoyed this book to read My Desperate Love Diary and My Now or Never Diary if you haven't already.

Things start to change when her best friend, Liz, and new friend, Stephanie, try and make her more into a girl. She finds herself liking to dress up and fawning over all sorts of boys, from a famous singer to a boy in her own class.
The Kelly Ann diaries are perfect for fans of Louise Rennison's CONFESSIONS OF GEORGIA NICOLSON books. Both are teen girls from the UK who write in their diaries about all sorts of topics related to growing up. Kelly Ann is a fun, realistic girl who is going through all sorts of changes that are easy to relate to. She's hilarious and pulls readers into her story easily. MY DATING DISASTERS DIARY is sure to be a fast read for many.
Just one part of a series, once this book ends, teen girls can go along with Kelly Ann in the next novel. Personally, I'd love to read more!
