Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

At last, you can connect your DS, DS Lite, PSP, and Wii to the Internet easily, cheaply and WIRELESSLY! With WiFi MAX, a whole world of online gaming on your consoles is opened.

WiFi MAX for DS, DS Lite, PSP, and Wii couldn't be simpler to use. Just plug your USB WiFi dongle into your internet-enabled PC to create a Wireless Access Point. You can then connect to the internet and play online-enabled multiplayer games with DS, DS Lite, PSP, and Wii gamers from all over the world. Just the thing if you don't have a wireless router!

As WiFi MAX operates on the Wireless G standard, it's five times faster than an ordinary WiFi connection, and if you use our USB cable and dongle stand (supplied), you can position your dongle to maximise WiFi range. If you have other WiFi-enabled devices capable of using the internet, such as laptops or PDAs, you can take them online with WiFi MAX too. It's the ultimate device for internet surfing without a WiFi router!

I you want something for hamdheld online gaming and haven't got a wireless connection get this. it is awesome as it takes just 5 mins to set up rather than the wireless routers which take ages and are really complicated.

After reading reviews about how difficult this was to set up I was a little nervous about buying it. However it only took me around an hour to set up and both my WII and PSP were connecting no problem.

However after a couple of days I suddenly had no signal for no apparent reason. I had been using it pretty much all morning then when I returned after an hour it wasn't working. I had not installed anything new or moved the dongle to another location. I tried to repair but it just says there is no error detected. It is connected but there is no signal.

After looking at other reviews it appears that many other people have this problem.

Fun:
It is a good product overall, and pretty easy to set-up.
Unfortunately if you decide to plug it into your laptop without the stand, it warps and eventually breaks!
Other than that it was good!

I'm usually pretty good with technological stuff, but I simply couldn't get this to work! Unless you're some kind of networking GOD, avoid this product.
