Dashing Druid continues Lyn Horner's unique Texas Druids saga. This sensual western romance stars Tye Devlin, the eldest of three psychically gifted siblings. Descended from legendary Irish Druids, Tye is an empath in modern terms. Assailed by emotions from everyone around him, he has learned to block out most of the "racket" in order to save his sanity. Yet, when he meets Texas cowgirl Lil Crawford, he has no defense against her hidden pain, for it echoes his own sorrows. Wounded by love, Lil sees herself as an old maid. She guards her bruised heart behind a tough shell, working alongside her father's cowhands. When a handsome stranger with an Irish brogue calls her beautiful, she thinks he's mocking her, but she secretly wishes such a man might truly want her. Feuding families stand between the two, and a perilous cattle drive pits Tye and Lil against menacing foes. Along the way they must fight their personal demons. Can Tye lasso Lil's troubled heart? And will his gift prove to be a curse or a blessing?
Lyn Horner resides in Texas with her husband and an ever-changing band of cantankerous, beloved cats. Trained in the visual arts, Lyn first worked as a fashion illustrator and later as an art instructor for Art Instruction Schools (famous for their "Draw Me" heads.) After quitting work to raise her children, she took up writing as a creative outlet. This hobby grew into a love of historical research and the crafting of passionate romances based on that research.
The author says, "Writing a book is much like putting together a really big jigsaw puzzle. It requires endless patience and stubborn determination to see your ideas come to life. Once hooked on the process, you're forever addicted."
A member of Romance Writers of America and Celtic Hearts Romance Writers, Lyn is a former vice president of North Texas Romance Writers. In November 2010, Lyn launched DARLIN' DRUID and has recently released DASHING DRUID, the second book in her TEXAS DRUIDS trilogy. These epic western romances feature a trio of uniquely gifted siblings. Descended from legendary Irish Druids, each possesses a special psychic power that influences their lives. The author knows such powers truly exists, having experienced prophetic dreams herself.
Lyn has also published a memoir titled SIX CATS IN MY KITCHEN. Six special cats are the headline-grabbing stars, but the book also touches upon subjects such as grieving the loss of loved ones, living with a disability, and coping with major life changes. It's liberally illustrated with photos.
