This was the first Amelia Grey novel I purchased and I am ashamed to say it sat on the book shelf for some weeks before I got around to reading it. Needless to say, once read I hurried to buy a few more on line! It begins with an extract from Lord Truefitts gossip page (reminding me somewhat of the wonderful Lady Whistledown, courtesy of Julia Quinn) telling of the antics of the notorious MAD TON THEIF. The story tells the tale of Millicent Blair who takes over the collumn for her aunt while she recovers from a fall and her encounter with the Earl of Dunraven, the rather gorgeous aristocrat who becomes obsessed with her secret scribblings. As the story unfolds(dont want to give too much away) they get together to uncover the identity of the mysterious thief and find themselves romantically entwined... much to Millicents horror as no one can possibly discover the identity of Lord Truefitt or her aunt will be ruined. Fabulous book that had me engrossed for hours, untill I reached the end in fact. A must for Amelia fans and a good one to start you off if you have never read any before. If you enjoy Julia Quinns Lady Whistledown tales, as I do please give this book a try, I am sure you wont be disappointed.
