This is a must have dvd for any Darren Hayes or Savage Garden Fan! There are songs from back in those savage garden days and all the latest stuff from his album as expected on a tour dvd. The old songs shocked me because i wasn't expecting them to be on the dvd, just the latest like on the verge of something wondeful and casey, but i love that Darren has gone back in time and performed his classic best selling hits such as The Best Thing and Affirmation, as well as So beautiful and insatiable from his previous albums of an incredible solo career!

The Dvd is great quality and looks amazing on a large screen in the living room, with the volume turned up full blast! :)
Darren gives an amazing performance, the tour is brilliant ...and the idea of mixing past and present for both types of fans?
Genius!
But that's to be expected from the man who produced songs such as insatiable, so beautiful, miss you, words, Neverland, Casey, on the verge of something wonderful and Unlovable, as well as I cant help falling in love and I wish you heaven, which he chose to cover ...wonder why? because his voice sounds amazing and completely makes them his own! Yes, the man is a beautiful work of art, but you need to be able to hear it to believe it.

If you've never heard him sing, buy this and... listen! Listen to it all the way through and discover what true musical interpretation sounds like ...because that's what he does best: he makes the music his own, not just by giving it words from the heart or past experience or imagination, but by singing them with so much emotion that it really does speak to you!
check out the comments to his videos on youtube and see how many times, " this made me cry!" and "so beautiful (mind the pun)" and "genius" and "wonderful" and "masterpiece", appears. There will be quite a few times, im sure, although you may need more than one hand to count! Darren is loved by his fans worldwide and this would make a perfect gift or treat for any. Savage garden fans may also enjoy this as they will not have heard Darren sing these songs on dvd since the band broke up, unless they own Savage Garden: Superstars and Cannonballs on dvd (the bands concert dvd), also as there are many Savage Garden Fans some may feel they now want to follow Hayes as the band broke up and will not be reuniting, according to Hayes. The perfect gift therefore for any Savage Garden/Darren Hayes fan. Whatever fan you are, this would be a great item to buy, just to listen to or to widen your horizons a little. Must Have! Great lyrics, great performance, EVERY time! Good music. A must watch! I also highly recommend the Savage Garden or Darren Hayes albums! :) Happy Shopping! :) x

A biased review as I am a great fan of Darren Hayes. I saw this show at the Albert Hall and was keen to get a copy of the DVD. Disappointed that he didn't film the London concerts.

Nevertheless, a good DVD, the filming and editing does justice to the set. It is great to be able to see the 'bird' in closer detail.

A must for any fan.

Everything other positive reviewers have said I totally support. This is such a great concert. It is sustained entertainment right through and covers many musical moods and styles. It stands well as theatre too. The backing band even seem to be really into it and enyoying it. Darren is a mature performer and songwriter who gives a very generous performance that doesn't wane. There is some really intersting music and great beat. I didnt know many of the songs before I watched and immediately was into them. I just want to add that I've been into rock type music since the 60s which puts me outside many of the age-groups that may usually look at him. So I want to add that my generation would get a lot out of this too if anyone is looking for something new. Unlike the negative review I saw on the DVD - to my taste it was well shot and interesting.
