The Darlac Giant Telescopic Pole is a very handy piece of equipment. I have used it very successfully in combination with the Darlac Traditional Pruning Saw for cutting back trees, with the cuts at above twice my height, all without using ladders or ropes.
The pole accepts a number of plug-in items - as well as a couple of saws, I also have a plug-in for cleaning the house windows.
The pole itself is fairly light, appears to be pretty strong (it flexes a bit, but not badly), and is well thought out - in particular, the little hook for connecting to the plug-ins so that if they become detached from the pole when in use, they do not fall onto you but end up dangling from the hook instead. Very useful when using saws above head-height.
You need to think carefully about safety if cutting trees above head height using a device such as this, but if you are going to use something like this then the Darlac pole is a good one to go for.
