One of the garden jobs I dread is turning over the compost, as I have a quite tall narrow plastic composter, which is sturdy and does a good job but its shape makes it difficult to aerate the contents. Usually I empty it out completely and then put the compost back in, which takes a whole afternoon. Or the other way is to use a garden fork which is not very easy at all and doesn't lift more than just the top 12inches or so.
This Darlac DP788 Aerator is extreemly good. You push it down several feet into the compost and give it 1/2 a turn then lift.....It brings stuff up to the surface from way down and loosens up the compost beautifully. You do need good arm muscles, but the job is done in 5 minutes! If you have a compost bin buy this, you wont regret it!
