Product Description

Jeannine appeared in the room across from Mary. Her face was streaked with tears and she was visibly trembling. “Mary, I remembered,” she cried. “I remembered and it was awful.”
The time has finally come for Mary to investigate Jeannine’s murder. As all clues point to someone in Bradley’s old neighborhood, Mary and Ian move into the former Alden residence and pose as newlyweds to set Mary up as bait for the killer. With Stanley and Rosie at their side, they expose the darkness hidden in the depths of Bradley’s old neighborhood.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as all the rest! 18 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Terri Reid continues the easy, almost happy style of writing that she has adopted throughout this series, and I must say I now feel like I personally know our heroine Mary and Sheriff Bradley! She has developed these characters really well and this book is equally as easy and enjoyable to read as the previous books in the series.

I will say that I breathed a sigh of relief that the mystery of Jeannine#'s disappearance was finally resolved, and I felt that Reid really gave this long-running puzzle justice in writing this installment of the series. It actually goes to a bit of a darker place than we have seen before, and it really works.

3.0 out of 5 stars Getting a bit predictable 4 Aug 2013
By Lila
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've enjoyed all the books so far but skipped number 5 in places to get to the end and find out whodunnit. I thought do I want to spend another £3 + on book six? No, I don't. I liked Mary's character at the beginning but its too lovey dovey and honestly would a bloke be celibate for 8 years, fall in love but not fall into bed? The Scottish guy was ridiculous, they don't all live in castles. I also resented going over previous books in each novel. The plot in Darkenss Exposed was a bit silly, how could such vital clues be missed. Anyway, I have enjoyed the first 4 and wanted to know who murdered Jeanine and if her baby was still alive and now I am over them. Not going to spend another £15 on the next batch as I can probably write number 6, finding daughter etc., with a serial killer thrown in who threatens someone and Mary's life is in danger yet again. It would make a good TV series though.
