Book Description

1 Oct 2012
Darklore is an anthology of Forteana, hidden history, the paranormal and esoteric science. Bringing together some of the top researchers and writers on topics from outside of mainstream science and history, Darklore will challenge your preconceptions by revealing the strange dimensions veiled by consensus reality. Featuring contributions from Robert Schoch, Blair Blake, Mike Jay, Greg Taylor, Richard Andrews, and many others, Volume 7 of Darklore offers only the best writing and research from the most respected individuals in their fields. In Darklore Volume 7 you'll find discussions of subjects such as the modern monster meme of 'The Slenderman', the possibility that psychedelic mushrooms inspired Alice in Wonderland, a fantastic Spiritualist story from Iceland, the UFO lore of 'Area 51', and much more. Find out more about the book - including free sample articles - at the Darklore website: darklore.dailygrail.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Genuinely gripping 11 Mar 2013

I am an avid fan of The Daily Grail, which makes me ashamed this is my first time out with Darklore. It blew me away. All of the content is worth your attention, and you will be hard pressed not to finnish it all in one sitting. The piece about the Slenderman was as frightening an essay to read as I can remember. Even for those of us who dip our toes regularly into weirdness, this was a wallow up to the thighs..

Maybe not the best volume of the series, but all in all good reading for Forteana lovers, way better than most literature on these topics.

5.0 out of 5 stars They've Done It Again 22 Nov 2012

I Love LOVE LOVE this Series!!!!!!! They always surprise me, and Blair Mckenzie Blake's Dirt Roads To Dreamland (51 Trips To Area 51) Worth it on it's own, Throw in Greg Taylor's work on the astounding account of Indriði Indriðason in Iceland creating a Spiritualism movement with a nice twist at the end. You're in for a ride, so hang onto your toilet seat!!!!
