1.0 out of 5 stars The Darkest Secret 21 Dec 2005
By Kate Perron - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I really recommend this book. It's a good book with a good message for high school students. Don't do drugs, drink and go partying. It can destroy your life. Don't have secrets and hold grudges for years. Talk out your problems.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Darkest Secret 10 May 2005
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I just read a book called The Darkest Secret by Anne Schraff. The main character in this book is Michael. Michael is about sixteen years old and really starting to see what is ahead for him in his life. He lives in a community of houses which extends as far as the eye can see. And yet he doesn't know much oabout the people. His only friend is Marcus Benton. but he has a crush on a girl, who is new in town her name is Michelle.

One day when michael was digging in his back yard he finds a diary. He opens the book only to find that the pages are old and ratty, the only words he can read are "How can I ever forgive myself for this." He finally shows the diary to his father and who doesn't take it so well. His dad finds where his son hides the diary and burns it. Michael wonders why the book brings back so many bad memories for his dad. So he starts to ask questions about the black dairy. He soon finds out that someone died and his father's brother went away because of it. I'm not going to tell you why you're going to have to find out your self and read the book.

I liked this book because it kept me interested. I would recommend this book to any student from the middle school through high school. It's a good mystery. Maybe you can find out what happened to his Uncle Steve when this mystery person died and what made him go away
