'I received this book from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest reveiw'
This is Part three of the Darkest Flame.
With the help of a Light Fae and Danae and Kellan's bond they are able to escape the Dark Fae. While trying to find a way out of the tunnels they run into a couple of Dark Kings that had come to try and save them. When they are free of the tunnels they call on other Dark Kings to have a stand off with the Fae.
Danae knows how she feels about Kellan even if he does hate humans. She automatically steps in dangers way if she thinks that it will protect him. While she likes the fact that Kellan wants to protect her she is not some dainty girl that can't protect herself. So while the Kings, with the exception of the one that stayed back to protect her, fight the Dark Fae she ends up having her own battle with the Dark Fae's leader. What happens ensures that she will never be safe from him.
My Opinion: I am so hooked on this book. Every part makes me eager to read the rest. I enjoy following this story as Kellan starts to realize that he may have been wrong about humans and discovering how he really feels about Danae. I like that he didn't get all he-man when she jumps in front of him when she thinks she is protecting him, but that he appreciates what she was willing to do. I am eager to read the fourth and final part of the book to find out the outcome of Kellan and Danae's story. I definitely recommend reading!
