Book Description

Readers (see reviews) say it made them scared, made them laugh and made them cry, are you prepared to go through these powerful emotions and read DARK WEAR?

“Paul rubbed his eyes. It can’t be! He looked again. The large black cat, the size of an Alsatian dog, continued to stalk its prey. It registered Paul’s existence but had its eyes on a rabbit. Paul grabbed his phone and did his best to stop shaking and try to take a photo. The noise of the camera caused the cat to turn and snarl. Only then did Paul realise his predicament. He was in a field, a long way from help if he yelled, with no weapon, facing what looked like a black tiger. Should he run? No, it would chase him. Maybe he should just stand very still, like on the Jurassic Park movie and it might not see him. He prayed that would work.”

It starts with big cats ,leads to witches, is that a werewolf? ,mysterious monks, the tunnel of horror that most don’t survive and all the time in the background the Fifth Reich are trying to continue their evil work.

Among the ancient cathedral, old colleges and the countryside roam strange creatures, modern day witches and the 5th Reich .The result is murder, mayhem, a search for a holy relic, a journey through an ancient deadly tunnel and a loss of loved ones. The new laird and the knights meet up again with Laura Loomis and her friends and once again they find themselves facing strangeness and danger.

By the successful author of Dark Ness
Dark wear as the title suggests is set in Durham. It’s the second book in the trilogy following on from Dark Ness but can be read as a separate volume.

More About the Author

Dark Ness is the first in trilogy of books set in different locations in the UK. I wrote the book when I had to give up work due to ill health.I don't have many years left so am hoping to get the trilogy finished and out and also a non fiction book on cryptozoology my other interest. Why I wrote the book was due to Eskine Childers. In the foreward to his book Riddle of the Sands, he said he was ill and couldn't find a book he liked so wrote his own. I thought what a good idea and have now unleased that idea on the unsuspecting public .
My life story, was a nurse , then an academic, bought up a child with ASD single handed(She is now a scientist) and find myself now house bound but brain still active. I loved writing the book, I just lived it in my head and it seems to have worked as good reviews so far.
Interesting stuff about me.....I once hunted bigfoot and got chased by a bear, hunted Nessie ,did voluntary work in India in my teens , love cats, recently taken up crafting and love technology and science even if I don't always understand it.
I hope you enjoy reading the book and any future books, as much as I enjoyed writing it.It was hard work ,it wasn't easy but to me it represented a big achievement in my state of health and gave me a great deal of pleasure to know some other people rated it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The second thrilling book in the Dark Trilogy 21 Sept. 2011
By Jackie
Format:Kindle Edition
Dark Wear by Tabitca Cope

For those of us who waited impatiently for this the second book in the series, it was worth the relatively short wait!

I so enjoyed catching up with the "gang again." It's a lovely feeling when they are all familiar to you, and you are eager to find out what has happened and what is about to happen (well it's a book so there has to be something about to happen!)

The story is a good one, and it builds slowly and firmly towards an explosive ending. You will not be disappointed, between witches, the Fifth Reich, Big Animals and even bigger "creatures." I was frightened, I laughed out loud and I did have a wee cry during this book. I do not hesitate to recommend it, there is something in it for everyone. A Darned good Yarn!

5.0 out of 5 stars A second thrilling installment! 28 July 2013
Format:Paperback
This book had me hooked from the very beginning and I largely read it in two sittings, including one rather late night!

I loved catching up with the characters from the previous book and seeing them develop further. As ever, the twists and turns made for a riveting read and, in my opinion, this book is even better than the previous instalment of the trilogy, Dark Ness.
I am highly anticipating the final book...
