Product Description

You never know what can be lurking in the cemeteries you casually drive by. Such was the case in the Fall of 1993, when Linda McLaughlin and her innocent six-year-old daughter Kelly passed by Union Cemetery in Easton Connecticut. Kelly didn’t even know such spirits existed when an apparition materialized and tapped into her consciousness. Nothing could have prepared her or her for the suffocating terror that she would soon experience when it followed them home.

The merciless spirit didn't stop with Kelly. It quickly targeted each and every family member, their pets, and their friends when they were alone and most vulnerable. Then, it targeted the alpha of the family, the wealthy, real estate broker father, who was a natural skeptic and the last person to believe in ghosts.

In this re-creation of real the most terrifying case the author had ever experienced, a Connecticut Family is plagued by evil-natured human spirits and by inhuman, diabolical spirits who infest their home and oppress the family. Will these evil spirits continue to haunt them or will the family find help in ridding them of this terror from beyond the grave?

The book explains, in detail, the process of investigating a ‘haunted house’ and what can be done about it. It explains the dangers involved with the negative occult and how dabbling in it can summon darkness and ruin into our lives.

Jason McLeod is a paranormal investigator, spiritualist and empath who has spent the last 28 years helping individuals and families deal with both the human spirits who linger in their lives, and the inhuman spirits who seek to ruin them. His training and experience began by following in the footsteps of his close personal friends and mentors – the late Ed Warren and his wife Lorraine, bestselling authors, movie consultants, and the original ghost busters who started the modern ghost hunting craze that thrives today. He conducts engaging presentations on the subjects of Spirituality, Consciousness, Quantum Physics, Meditation, Metaphysics, Paranormal Investigation and Demonology on Radio Broadcasts, and at Paranormal Conventions, Spirituality Expositions, in Churches and at New Age Events throughout the world.

Dark Siege is a 457 page recreation of the most terrifying case McLeod has ever investigated. But what makes Dark Siege unique is that it contains an addendum with chapter-by-chapter analysis where McLeod explains the science and spirituality behind the paranormal through Quantum Physics, the Universal Laws of Attraction, Intention and Conscious Manifestation.

This is the THIRD EDITION of the book - completely edited by Tom Kimball Ph.D. It contains the following additional content: Dedication, Quote, additional Chapters and Chapter Titles. The book is now broken up into 4 Main Parts: Part 1: Infestation, Part 2: Oppression, Part 3: Possession and Part 4: Analyses.

3.0 out of 5 stars The truth is out there; but not in this book. 17 Oct 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is supposed to be a true story. I think unfortunately, artistic license has taken over and over embellished somewhat. Paranormal investigator Jason McLeod maybe; author he is not. The book was badly written with almost a childlike prose.

Saying that I purchased the second novel in this series; so the first book couldn't have been that bad. (NB.The second book is plain awful, but if you like Demon sodomy then go for it!) I enjoyed the analysis chapters of the book and it is an engaging story if treated as such. A story. Something about this whole book just didn't sit right with me. Especially Michael's exorcism, having just read "Possession" The true story of which William Blatty's Excorcist is based on.

In hindsight I should have saved my money. Perhaps it's the way the book is actually written that makes the story seem so far fetched; and I am a believer in the paranormal.

Perhaps you should buy it and make up your own mind.

I believe in ghosts and believe that if a person is a jerk while they were alive, they are perfectly capable of being jerks after they are dead. The reason I am stating this up front is because I simply don't believe in demons or devils. I think that a lot of the time, people will attach the name "demonic" to anything that is nasty. However, I went into this book with a very open mind because having grown up in a haunted house, who am I to decide that another person is lying about a paranormal experience? Especially one so traumatic.

My issue with the book is that the author, who investigated this case, is telling this as a fictionalized account of true events. If I had met the people involved, had a part in their experience, and decided to write about it, I would have chosen a better format to tell this story. I would want to come across as believable, and the way the author has chosen to present the story just doesn't do that. The family is very one dimensional, save for Tyler, the son, who is probably the only person in this story that is in any way developed. I would have preferred to read real statements from real people. I would have preferred to read real notes from this investigation, seen pictures of the house in question, any captured evidence of the events being related. The fictionalized route simply takes a compelling case and turns it into cheap horror.

That said, if you want a cheap, by the numbers story of a demonic experience, and you can take it as simply that, then this is a pretty entertaining book for the price. You'll just have to forget that this is meant to be something more than a second rate horror story when you do. I understand that the author is not out to prove anything, and that's fine, but it would have been much better if he had left out the "based on a true story" aspect in that case.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a fantastic and enjoyable read 14 Oct 2014

What a fantastic and enjoyable read. A real page-turner - didn't want to put it down. Well written and captured my interest right from the start. As this subject interests me and reading that it was a real life event involving bona-fide paranormal investigators I just had to read it. I was a believer before I read the book and by the end it just confirmed to me that these things can really happen. If you are interested in this kind of thing you will not be disappointed. Quite frightening really.
