Stephen Wolinsky's book is groundbreaking. At long last some one who has studied and practiced in the east, as well as being a western psychotherapist has really worked and moved our understanding of trauma, and consciousness. this book is theoretical but is also full of exercises to do to both get to know your inner child and help it get back in to its righful place not overruling and ruining your life. so when you feel freeked out, shocked or just plain angry you can deal with these feelings in the here and now The on reservation I have and its a very small one, is that because he comes out of a cognitive framework what he calls the dark side of the inner child is actually what Jungians call a complex. this is a great useful book, that can realy help anyone who is studying mindfulness or awarness and is trying to get through old psychological stuff .
