Product Description

Book Description

Enter the world of the Carpathians: an immortal race of beings with animal instincts whose males, without their lifemate's light, only have one option . . . turning vampire.

Product Description

As brutal as the undead he hunted, Zacarias De La Cruz was a master executioner. Now his stark and savage journey is over. After a thousand years in a grey world, he has accomplished everything he set out to do - his brothers are safeguarded, and each has found a woman who completes Zacarias has walked the edge of madness. But without a hunt to define him, Zacarias wonders, for the first time in his life, who he really is. The answer awaits him back home in Peru, in the betrayal of a woman who is readying her trap, in the vengeance of an old enemy, in the inevitable consequences of a bloody family legacy, and in the deliverance of a lifemate he never could have imagined.

i'm a tad confused by the other reviews. i wonder did we all read the same book. i have felt in the past that Feehan was getting very tedious with her wording, kinda predictable sometimes but i was surprised by this book. it felt fresh but at the same time familiar. now down to the nitty gritty. Zacharias is a very dominant character and Marguirita is very submissive and unless this type of dynamic appeals to you it will not be your type of read. personally i loved it. the sexual side of the tale was exicting and strayed into the D/s arena which does not appeal to some. most of us can recognise it but as joey hill will attest to not all of us respond to it. i thoroughly enjoyed this book. lets not forget here that this is fiction and therefore should be taken with a pinch of salt. in other words dont take it too seriously its really supposed to be fun.

I read the reviews on here before I bought the book and thought twice about ordering it especially consider the recent Kenyon, Ward and Leigh novels. But I have to say I am pleased I purchased it. Christine's writing style is different in this book compared to the others and to be honest it was a welcome change. When you have a series that basically repeats itself over and over again you either have to change it or drop.

I loved the fact our hero was all me, me ,me. Some men are actually like that and it's nice to see it portrayed in the books we read.

It's a bit of a hard read but I loved it. Now looking forward to the next one.

My advice to others thinking of buying it, dont except Dark Predator to read like the others in the series. If you read it with a new, fresh and open mind it may surprise you. It did me.

Really was wondering about this after having read the first chapter waited and waited for the new book. The story is different from the others as one of the other reviewers said Zacharias was very cold and couldnt make up his mind but to be honest he is meant to be one the of oldest and supposedly lost his emotions a lot earlier than other males. About not seeing colours straight away a lot of the others saw colours immediately when they heard their lifemates speak. This obviously could not happen with Margueritte with her voice gone so maybe because of his "age" and her not being able to speak that is why the colours gradually came. Did find her a bit submissive at first but then she still managed to get her own way did she not! It finished the chaper of the De La Cruz brothers so am glad it was written as would always have wondered about Zacharias. Did I enjoy it more than others and was it one of the best Dark books, no, there were definately better ones out there but still enjoyed it and glad to have read it hence the 3 star. The De La Cruz brothers needed to be completed and even though other reviewers said it was disappointing I would have to disagree with them. Am glad to have read it and will once again anxiously await the next instalment.

Don't try this at home!
I loved this book. It made total sense to me that someone who had lived the live Zacharias had for as long as he had, would not meet his lifemate and instantly become the perfect... Read more

Okay...but formula not working as well....
With these sort of series, you know that the characters follow certain traits and problems, and in some ways are a little predictable, but even now the formula isn't working. Read more

I have collected all of the Dark series which I have enjoyed immensley. I do feel, however, that they are becoming more orientated towards sex rather than the story line. Read more
