The "ark" principle is an interesting development of the orginal plot and probably a correct reflection of mankind. The idea that the brave new world woudl be largely infested by the rich and the corrupt is probably true but I woudl hope that the champions of progress and integrity would show better judgement and intelligence and I would like to think when faced with the apocalypse even the older generation woudl not be so short sighted and selfish. Maybe I'm being naive here but I would like to think that those preparing the "ark" would ensure that some animals never got on it but sadly I suspect that politicians will always overestimate there importance, when in fact only a large and lazy society can afford such a luxury. Well written but I saw the end of it about a quarter way through.
