5.0 out of 5 stars Great continuation..., 27 Feb 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Dark Passions: Bk. 2 (Star Trek) (Mass Market Paperback)
again i thought that there was too much of Seven of Nine and there was definately not much of Bevereley Crusher or Katherine Janeway despite them being on the cover. it was well written and there were some interesting twists.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Carry On, 24 Jun 2011
This review is from: Dark Passions: Bk. 2 (Star Trek) (Mass Market Paperback)
Right I've just finished this book and quite frankly I thought it maybe ended too soon and should have carried on slightly more than it did. I would love to see a third book as it would really be a great continuation.

This book focuses much more on Seven and Kira than any other part of the last book. This story shows how Seven has to integrate with Kira more and really earn her trust. Seven along this path goes through a transition of trying to find who / what she is. Is she Terran? And if not that then what?

Eventually Kira sends Seven away and she gets taken to a mining colony where she meets the two people on the cover (Crusher and Janeway). I think that although they have small parts in the book they are put there because of what an impact they have on Seven and how they make her see herself in a different light.

While on the camp Seven plans to try and get rid of Kira by becoming Overseer, however I'm not going to tell you what happens because you'll have to read the book to find out!

This is a splendid squel and there should really be a third book to continue the story. A great buy and a amazing read - 5/5
